ELDER NELSON!

It was pretty awesome to have Elder Nelson and Elder Viñas here with us yesterday. We each got to go up and shake their hands. We got to hear each of them and their wives speak. I wrote down a bunch of notes from all of them.
Elder B, Elder A and I
Elder Viñas basically talked about the importance of baptism, retention, and reactivation and I am going to try to focus a lot more on reactivation in my mission. Hermana Nelson talked a lot about our premortal life and what we would have been like before, which was very special to think about. Just looking into the heavens for 5 minutes would give us a greater knowledge of any subject than if we studied it for all our life. Than Elder Nelson talked started by saying something that has now become my favorite quote. "Begin with the end in mind." And i love how he later used that to explain a story of a friend who later became a member. He said he saw his friend and thought of how good he would look in baptismal clothing, but even better in temple clothing. That is the goal for everyone. It was very special at the end when he said, "I as an apostle, invoke a blessing upon you now," and blessed us with many things among devotion and being a true disciple of Christ.

He taught us of how awesome the Spanish scriptures are and the guide for scripture study  which the English scriptures don't have. He taught us of ten doctrines and the greatest was what he said of Jesus Christ and how much there is to study about him. The whole experience was cool and i am pumped to study everything he shared.

Today we went to piedra roja because it is just a chill place to be. They have a dunkin donuts, starbucks, papa johns, sushi restaurants, and a whole bunch of other stuff there by the lake. It was nice and relaxing to be there with a donut from the outside porch deal they had their. And we visited another place after where we could buy a bunch of gringo candy and drinks! i totally forgot how could butter fingers were after one year! Love you guys, Talks to you later! bye:) sorry I wasn't able to reply to all the emails.
fish from my favorite place called Piedra Roja.  It reminds me of home.

Mission Changes!

Soccer pose with my Companion Elder M and I

A lot is going down in our mission right now with the new mission president we got a few weeks ago. He is changing so much and this week we are going to try a new schedule and see how it works out. We wake up at 6:30 and get ready and do some studies after 10. Then we go work until 1 oclick and have lunch. We go back home to study a little bit more and take a nap, siesta until 3:30. Then we go back out to work until 6:30 when we can finally eat dinner or something until 7:30. And from there until like 9 we work. THen plan and everything and have to be in bed by 10:30. So we will see how this whole plan goes down this week, i am just pumped for the naps!

they are the best!
I have been reading a lot still this past week. I love reading the poems and stories i have been given.
And i have read Proverbs a lot recently. Especially from chapters 3 through 7. And Proverbs 3:5-6 is probably one of my favorite scriptures now. Put your trust in the lord and he will guide and direct you. Its been helping me a lot to know that simple doctrine again. So i continue to put more trust in him and feel more comfort in how things will end.

THANK YOU my (sister) HERMANA ASHLEY so much for your letter, you sent it over a month ago but it came a day exaclty when i need it. I loved the story about the missionay who met. who he needed to share the gospel within the pre existence:) I read the story with all my companions because it was in spanish too!!!

Thanks for helping me out with everything guys:) love you.

Lots of scripture reading this week

Makes me happy!  From a member
So i pretty much spent a bunch of my week just reading the scriptures. There are many great scriptures i have been marking. I keep finding more and more of an importance to the scriptures. That is probably where my testimony has grown strongest during my mission. They were written hundreds and thousands of years back but we can still understand and use them in our day. Our mission president is probably the best out there. He knows exactly what to say and do. We are all pumped here with our president.

Ive been learning a lot lately in the importance of a companionship and the way the lord does things. Well it just started raining haha and i dont have a jacket or anything, so this will be fun to walk home to. Thanks you guys for everything. I hope you all have a good week:) chao

New mission President!

emailing and new hair cut
Sorry if this will be hard to read but my hands are freezing and its a bit hard to type. So this week our new mission president got here and we are all excited for the coming weeks to get to know him and see the changes that will be made. Things have been going good here in principal with the four of us. We talked with the second counselor of the branch yesterday who is in charge of the mission work here. And he had some great ideas to help us and what we can do. He is like our father in the mission. Him and his family have literally given us everything we need. And they care for us as their children. They are the family who has thrown the little birthday parties and the house we can go to in any moment and for any reason.
Many member have helped me through a lot and continue to help me here. I love this sector. We are working really hard to find new investigators and my companion and i have set many goals to help us. The other day in district class our leader gave us a paper of how we can be better missionaries. We read together for a while but one part was really important to me. I dont know how i havent read this scripture but i know love it so much "And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." (Matthew 19:29) I can apply this so much to the mission and know that there are many blessings we receive for serving.

I love you and hope you have a good week and fourth of july! save a firework for me!

Another transfer here with my companion!

Im really stoked to be here for another transfer in this sector. Its crazy to be here my 3rd together! But this transfer is only 4 weeks because our Mission President is changing soon! Im pumped for that too. We are gonna get a new Chilean President. Things have been going great here in principal. Actually lots of problems with the house but its all good. Some guys are coming to tear out or bathroom and redo it because there was so much mold and crazy stuff. They said it was a terrible safety hazard! And we will see what happens because there are rats that live under the bathtub too haha! I find all this stuff fun.
Prepping for lunch
This past week was good and I spent much time reading the book of mormon. I would study it in the morning and come back at night and sit down to read. I have found a great love for the scriptures in my mission. Before it was hard for me to read but ever since day one that i entered the mission i have had this great change. I now starve to read the scriptures and am disappointed when i have to stop. And in preach my gospel, there is a section on the attributes of Christ, one of them being knowledge. I can say that my life has dramatically changed due to my mission and the scriotures are now one of the most important things to me.

Ill just share what i recently read the other day. I was in Alma 17 reading about the sons of Mosiah. They obiously had a big change in there lives and ended up serving missions for 14 years it say! Please read Alma 17:2-5 and think of the missionaries nowadays who are serving. There are many things it says the sons of Mosiah did. They would study the scriptures, pray, fast, recieve revelation and prohecy, and they taught with power and authority of god. This is the missionaries that are serving now. It even contines to talk of the aflicction and suffering they went through, Physically, mentally, and spiritually. I love every new chapter i read of the scriptures and am grateful to be able to share this with those i am privileged to teach.

Sorry i didnt take and pics this week:/ just one of when my comps were prepin lunch. Have a good week, i love you guys:)
